Alan McDermott is a husband and a father to beautiful twin girls, and currently lives in the south of England. Born in West Germany to Scottish parents, Alan spent his early years moving from town to town as his father was posted to different army units around the United Kingdom. Alan has had a number of jobs since leaving school, including working on a cruise ship in Hong Kong and Singapore, where he met his wife, and as a software developer creating clinical applications for the National Health Service. Alan gave up his day job in December 2014 to become a full-time author. Alan’s writing career began in 2011 with the action thriller Gray Justice, his first full-length novel.

Alan McDermott ist Ehemann, Vater zweier hübscher Zwillingsmädchen und Softwareentwickler aus Südengland. Er hat schottische Eltern, ist in Westdeutschland geboren und in seiner Kindheit ständig umgezogen, da sein Vater in verschiedenen Armee-Einheiten in Großbritannien stationiert war. Nach der Schule hat er unter anderem auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff in Hongkong und Singapur gearbeitet und dort auch seine Frau kennengelernt. Seit 2005 arbeitet er als Softwareentwickler und erstellt derzeit klinische Anwendungen für den staatlichen Gesundheitsdienst.

Sein Debütroman »Im Zwielicht der Vergeltung« wurde sehr gut aufgenommen und hat ihm die Mitgliedschaft bei http://independentauthorsinternational.org verschafft. Folgen Sie Alan auf Twitter unter @Jambalian.

    Thank you to @lovebookstours for my gifted copy.

    My thoughts: wow! This was a fantastic fast-paced thriller that has a strong, badass female character. I was hooked from the very beginning and I loved the short chapters. It reminded me of the Jason Bourne and Jack Ryan characters. Highly recommend and can’t wait to keep reading this series and join Eva on more adventures.

    Eva Driscoll is searching for the truth behind her brothers death. It was made to look like suicide but it wasn't. Before long Eva becomes the prey. Who is going to win this battle? There were so many twists and turns in this book it kept me gripped all the way through. It was a real page turner.

    I have thoroughly enjoyed other books written by Alan McDermott and have been wanting to read the Eva Driscoll for some time, and so pleased I have been able to start them. Eva Driscoll is certainly a dynamo and a very smart woman but has she met her match in the ESO. Time will tell. Tom Gray makes a small appearance and a couple of his employees play a part also and it is good to see this cross-over. Such a great pace to the story. Look forward to reading more in this series.
