About this ebook

A lady never reveals the true extent of her decay...

Hannah Miles lives a quiet existence, helping her parents conduct research into a most terrible affliction - until a gruesome murder during her best friend's engagement party pulls her from the shadows. With her specialist's knowledge and demure disposition, Hannah is requested to aid the investigation.

Except Hannah discovers her role is to apologise in the wake of the rude and disgraced man tasked with finding the murderer. The obnoxious Viscount Wycliff thinks to employ Hannah purely as a front to satisfy Whitehall, but she'll have none of that.

The two must work together to find the murderer before the season is ruined. But the viscount is about to meet his greatest challenge, and it's not a member of the ton with a hankering for brains.

Binge the complete series now! A gaslamp fantasy about found family and with a cozy vibe. Perfect for fans of CJ Archer, Deanna Raybourn, Lynn Messina and Pearl Goodfellow.

One of the better stories I've read in a long while. At the beginning, I didn't realize it was a take on zombies until I read another person's review. The only slight disappointment is that it wasn't much of a mystery as far as who the culprit was and why.

I've never been more committed to a book series since Sherilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. And before her, biting nails wanting to hear all about Harry, Ron, and Hermione's next adventure. Having discovered Manners and Monsters in Google Books, I was instantly hooked. So much so I went straight to my public library to see if the entire series was there, unfortunately it wasn't. Well image my excitement when I received an email that Book 2 and 3 were waiting for me. Since I have all 5 and currently on her sixth. Thank you Ms Tilly Wallace for your amazing Book Series. Can't wait to see what adventure Hannah and Wyclef are on to next

It's not often I rate 5 stars after a first read through(and I WILL be reading this again) but this book is well worth the rating. I cannot stress how much I love, love, LOVE this book. Witty and charming to the extreme. The authour's fondness for Austen and Buffy absolutely show through! Fans of the Parasol Protectorate series will definitely enjoy this series! When I get around to a reread I'll probably add some more coherent thoughts, but first the rest of the series...

About the author

Tilly drinks entirely too much coffee, likes to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and wishes she could talk to Jane Austen. Sometimes she imagines a world where the Bennet sisters lived near the Hellmouth. Or that might be a fanciful imagining brought on by too much caffeine.
