Pretty well-written murder mystery. It's not as smart as it thinks, some "misdirection" were pretty obvious and some characters are pretty dumb beyond what you'd expect. Overall a good story that's worth reading, but pales in comparison to greats by Agatha Christie and Arthur C. Doyle.

Enjoyed the mystery in the 1920s. The story is when the house guests turn into suspects when the host of the house ends up dead. The back story of each character expecially Rosamund and Charles was brought out beautifully. Enjoyed the mystery and the story because it gave a very real feel of the old era.

It took me a while to get into this book because it took what seemed like forever for the book to become interesting. I like books that pretty much start off with suspicion. This is far from that. It's a decent book to read once, but not again!
